Some prayer needs and resources

Dear TEE Networkers

Warmest greetings

It is exciting to learn of the new and courageous TEE initiatives and advances of TEE programmes across the world.   We have so  much to thank God for in the dedication, obedience and often, self sacrifice of those early pioneers.

Please could we continue to uphold in prayer:

Ross and Gloria Kinsler  - Ross is a TEE founding father who still actively writes ( Diversified Theological Education, Equipping All God’s People)  and encourages world TEE .  His tribute to  Dr Ralph Winter  can be read on  http://www.teenet.net/   along with an important article that he has submitted   entitled  EDUCATION FOR LIFE.( he would value  comments )

Fred and Grace Holland  . (founders of the African TEXT TEE programme)   Fred, who will be 84 in March,  continues to be  a truly wonderful  encourager, but his  health has been in decline of late and has to use an electric wheelchair. However he remains a firm and alert prayer warrior.  Grace   is working on TEE book number 43 in the Africa series, Spiritual warfare.  She does much of the prayer mobilization for  BIC mission, and serves on various committees.  As a retired field missionary, seminary professor, ex-mission board chair, with a doctorates  in missiology, (etc and etc..!) she is still quite in demand and active.

Joan Newton  served both TAFTEE in India and SEAN in writing and developing TEE material.  Joan is now in her 90s, and very frail, but wonderfully alert, always keen to have news of TEE development and testimonies from around the world - and always still with that ready smile.

Please could we also uphold  Tanka Subedi, the Director of ITEEN, Nepal,  and his wife, Rita,  in prayer.   As well as their Nepalese  responsibilities during some worrying  times of political upheaval, the Subedis have a TEE training ministry that has so helped TEE programmes outside Nepal.  Tanka's health has not been good this last year.  He reports that he is feeling better, but would greatly value our prayers.

Distant Learning - Christian Teaching Resources for Schools

Many  of us are deeply concerned about the standard and goals of religious education in schools.  .  Young people today are being bombarded  and pressured by  many voices through so many ways.   The rapid growth of Information technology has not brought with it a parallel growth in truth.   Many Christian families are deeply concerned about how well prepared their children really are to meet the challenges facing them in  higher education and university, a time where Christian commitment can be under threat, a period when churches confess to losing young people.     We would very much like to take this opportunity of mentioning two extremely  helpful, well thought out  and practical websites that serve to meet this challenge

1        ( http://www.request.org.uk/)

2            and  (http://www.request.org.uk/teachers/contributors.htm).

TEENET

Please do also remember  the  http://www.teenet.net/    website in prayer   - it is a most valuable resource,  its Steering Committee  would so value support as they plan for the future.
